Manavalan Krishnan

With over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, Manavalan Krishnan has built a career working in startups, including Airepace, which was later acquired by Cisco, and Schooner Information Technology, which was acquired by Sandisk. At Sandisk he architected and led a scale-out, high-performance all-flash storage system Infiniflash IF500 and high-performance object-store ZetaScale. Over the years Manavalan has architected and delivered highly scalable high-performance data storage and data processing products with flash storage in the domain of object storage, file systems, database, NoSQL, caching, and big data processing. He has also built and led several high-performance engineering teams from the ground up and delivered the products with innovative solutions.

Manavalan is passionate about architecting and designing highly scalable data storage and data processing systems that provide significant value-adds to customers and passionate about building high-performance engineering teams to deliver products at optimal time and cost. He also holds 15 patents in the areas of distributed data storage systems. He holds a Master of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from the College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University, Chennai.
